Congratulations from the G-frame Structures team to Moneypenny, whose new £15m HQ in Wrexham has been awarded Best Corporate Workplace at the British Council for Offices (BCO) Northern Property Awards.
The building, which was designed by Manchester-based architects AEW, also recently won Best Commercial Project at the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) North Wales Building Excellence Awards 2017.
The 91,000sq ft building features a triple height atrium with a waffle-effect glulam roof that creates break out space, meeting areas and restaurant facilities for staff. The roof, which was designed, supplied and installed by G-frame Structures, comprises glulam beams and infill panels run between two steel structures spanning 25 metres. The building, which was designed to be the happiest workplace in the UK, also features a treehouse meeting room, its own village pub, sun terrace and stadium seating.
