G-frame Structures has joined the Structural Timber Association (STA) with a focus on developing the market for CLT, Glulam and hybrid construction.

The STA is a membership organisation which represents the structural timber sector and associated supply chain companies with the objective to drive quality and product innovation through expert technical guidance and research.

STA initiatives include a Quality Assurance Scheme aimed at raising and maintaining quality throughout the sector and the widely recognised Fire Safety Guidance which has been developed in conjunction with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), Chief Fire Officers Association (CFOA) and Association of British Insurers (ABI).

“The STA is addressing key issues vital for the ongoing growth of the structural timber sector.” Says G-frame’s Managing Director, Lee Murphy. “As a specialist in the design and delivery of CLT, Glulam and hybrid structures it is important that we make a strong contribution to these discussions.”
