MONEYPENNY, the UK’s leading telephone answering specialist, has officially completed the move to its new £15m headquarters. Designed to create ‘the happiest workplace in the UK’, the pioneering building reflects the company’s rapid growth and plans to create an additional 500 jobs over the next few years.

Internally the striking 91,000sq ft building provides a treehouse meeting room, its own village pub, sun terrace and stadium seating. A triple height atrium featuring a waffle-effect glulam roof creates break out space, meeting areas and restaurant facilities for staff. The glulam beams and infill panels for the atrium roof, which run in-between two steel structures spanning 25 metres, were designed, supplied and installed by G-frame. The waffle effect achieved by the roof helps to create a stunning focal point for the building.

Externally the development is equally impressive and is surrounded by seven acres of landscaped grounds with nature trails, a duck pond and orchards with picturesque countryside views. Remarkably, the entire development – designed by award-winning AEW Architects – cost the same price as a standard brick ‘box’ office.
