Studios and media workspace
A two storey extension houses a new media centre at ground floor with workspace above. G-frame Structures were responsible for the design, supply and installation of the first floor mass timber superstructure including pre-assembled Glulam + CLT rib decks for the roof which were chemically and mechanically bonded to achieve large uninterrupted spans while keeping a relatively shallow structural depth.
The CLT walls feature curved sections that were created on site by the G-frame team using 3 ply board. This project has been delivered jointly by G-frame Structures along with our sister company Murform Ltd – specialists in groundworks, formwork, rebar and concrete.
